‘It felt like we were still together’ says Towie’s Amber Turner as she reveals truth about secret phone call with ex Dan
TOWIE star Amber Turner has revealed the truth behind her phone call with ex Dan Edgar – amid is romance with Ella Rae Wise.
Amber split from Dan, 33, in May 2023 after six years together and he has since moved on with their co-star Ella, 23.
The pair have managed to avoid each other since the split – with exes swerving each other in Bali.
But since returning to Essex, Amber admitted that it’s been hard to move on.
In upcoming scenes, Amber tells Elma that she and Dan had a heart-to-heart after a lengthy call.
She tells Elma: “I got back from that night out and I just felt really, really sad.
“I was speaking to Dan a little bit the night before.
“I said to him: “Do you want to come over and see the dog or go for a dog walk?”
“And he was messaging me back for ages and then rang me.
“I was like: ‘oh, hello.’
“He was like: “All I ever wanted was for you to say what you have just said to me in the message like come over and walk the dog. Come and see me’.”
Amber continued: “We spoke on the phone for ages
“We had the first proper conversation since…about an hour.
“It was a hard conversation…he had so much to get off his chest.
“He was like: ‘You were my forever, you were my world. I never thought you’d leave me.
“‘We were a family. It was me, you and Oliver. I can’t believe you broke up our family. I genuinely never thought you would.’
“It felt really weirdly normal.”
Amber admitted that the conversation took her back to old times – saying it felt like they were still together.
‘We were on the phone talking for about an hour. He was like: “What is Oliver doing?”
“And I said… shall I switch to FaceTime so we FaceTimed and he was speaking to Oliver.
“It felt so normal it was so weird.
“It felt like we were together and we weren’t broken up and living a normal life but I know that isn’t the case.”
Amber was recently seen saying an emotional goodbye to Dan as she handed over their dog Oliver before fleeing Essex after struggling with his very public new relationship.
A source told The Sun: “Amber made the tough decision to leave Essex after struggling to cope with Dan’s new relationship with Ella.
“There’s so much history between them and emotions ran high as they met up at the park to say goodbye.
“Amber handed over their shared dog to Dan as she revealed her plans to move to Dubai.
“She broke down in tears during the exchange, but they parted ways amicably.”
But it looks like Amber has moved on as she appeared to confirm her new relationship this week.
Towie star Amber took to Instagram to share a series of snaps from her holiday and added a telling caption.
She wrote: “Would be smiling more if I was in the centre of the pic… the camera man could do with a few pointers.”
Meanwhile, love rival Ela, who is also in the UAE city, said she had seen Amber and her new man while out in Dubai.
She posted a snap of her looking incredible in a bikini during a yacht trip and added: “Meet me on the water.”
But some trolls were quick to poke fun at her, with one asking: “You out there looking for Amber?”
Ella quickly fired back and seemed to confirm Amber is now in a new relationship with a mystery man.
She replied: “Amber’s come to Dubai to meet her fella. I’ve seen them babe.”
