‘Running to buy’ shoppers rave about new Primark accessory that gives ‘sunglasses hair’ without actually needing sunnies

FASHION fans are racing to Primark to pick up a new accessory, that gives you “sunglasses hair” without you actually needing to wear sunglasses.

We’re all guilty of using our sunnies solely as a hair accessory, due to the volume they give to our hair.

However, Primark has come up with a solution, which means that your eyes can still be protected from the sun, whilst your hair looks chic.

The sunglasses headband, mimics the shape of a pair of sunglasses, so you can wear it on your head, whilst still wearing shades on your eyes.

Demonstrating how the headband works, a Primark staff member took to the fast-fashion brand’s official TikTok page to try it on.

Unlike a traditional headband, this hair accessory is curved at the top in the shape of a pair of sunglasses.

So, when the staff member pushed it onto her head, her hair tumbled around her shoulders, giving the same elegant effect as you would get from wearing sunglasses on top of your head.

The headband comes in a pack of two, with one black band and one beige one.

The two-pack is a bargain, priced at just £2.50.

It is available in-store and can be ordered via click and collect.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts, with many praising Primark’s innovation.

One person said: “It’s innovative because I like my sunglasses hair but my husband hates that I use them as a headband”.

A second person said: “Literally going to be running to buy this”.

A third added: “I need this”.

A fourth said: “I love the way sunglasses make my hair look”.

A fifth chimed in: “Slay, Primark”.

  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
