Teen accused of killing 17-year-old girl near Queens subway station

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A teen is accused of fatally stabbing a 17-year-old girl in the neck during a fight outside a Queens subway station Wednesday night, police said.

The 15-year-old girl was charged with murder after allegedly stabbing Sara Rivera, of Queens, near the 46th Street-Bliss Street subway station in Sunnyside around 9:25 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Sources told PIX11 News the teens were friends and were spotted on surveillance video fighting before Rivera was fatally stabbed in the neck.

The 15-year-old was taken into custody at the Flushing-Main Street subway station, which is the end of the No. 7 subway line, according to authorities. Police did not release the teen's identity.
