IMF approves 129 mln USD Extended Fund Facility to Jordan

AMMAN, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed to provide Jordan with 129 million U.S. dollars under an existing Extended Fund Facility (EFF) to support its economy.

The decision was made in a staff-level agreement reached Thursday between the two sides and after the IMF completed the first review of the EFF that was reached in January.

The amount needs the final approval of the IMF
