Amit Shah promises big role for deputy Nityanand Rai at rally

Home Minister Amit Shah is campaigning for his deputy Nityanand Rai in Ujiarpur, Bihar, seeking his third consecutive win in the constituency. Rai, a minister of state for home and BJP's most prominent face in Bihar, is taking on RJD's Alok Kumar Mehta, who was elected to the Lok Sabha from this seat in 2004 but was defeated by Rai in 2014. Shah praised Rai as one of the top performing ministers in the Modi government and recalled his sleepless nights during the Covid-19 pandemic.
