Saratoga nonprofit hosting historic home tour
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation is touring privately-owned historic homes on Saturday, May 11. The nonprofit will tour the homes in person and virtually in the North Broadway neighborhood.
The tours are between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and tickets are $40 for foundation members and $50 for non-members. Virtual tour tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased online.
The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation's rehabilitation project of 65 Phila St. is included in the tours and is a chance for the public to see the restoration progress made so far. The historic tour is an example of the foundation's mission to promote the preservation of local architecture and the landscaped heritage of Saratoga Springs through education programs.
Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation Board President Michele Funiciello said the tours are the largest fundraiser for the nonprofit. She said the funds raised help the board, staff, directors, and volunteers advocate for preserving Saratoga Springs' architecture and more.
