Timberline closed Thursday due to high winds

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Timberline ski area is closed Thursday due to high winds in the area, the resort announced.

According to the resort, high winds are expected to stick around into the evening so they decided to close for the day.

After a late start to the and a recent fire at the lodge, Timberline has faced several setbacks over the last several months.
