Preview: Aberdeen (H)
The Hibees return to Easter Road this weekend as we take on Aberdeen in the cinch Premiership! Read the full match preview below.
For the first time in over a month, we’re back at Easter Road as we host Aberdeen on Sunday 12 May – kick-off at 3pm.
Nick Montgomery’s side are looking to get back to winning ways following a disappointing defeat to Ross County last time out.
We currently sit seventh in the cinch Premiership on 42 points, one point ahead of Sunday’s opponents, Aberdeen.
TEAM NEWS
David Marshall missed our trip to Dingwall last weekend after picking up a knock in training and will be assessed ahead of the weekend.
Elie Youan, Will Fish and Luke Amos also missed out and will be closely monitored before Sunday.
Lewis Stevenson will make his 600th Hibernian FC appearance if he features at the weekend.
Nick Montgomery will provide a full team news update when he speaks to the press on Thursday afternoon.
THE VISITORS
Aberdeen come into this one off the back of a 1-0 win over St Johnstone last Saturday.
That result extended The Dons unbeaten run to six matches in the league (three wins, three draws).
This is the fifth meeting between the teams this season (all comps). The Hibees have picked up seven points out of a possible nine against Aberdeen this season, however, The Dons got the better of us in the League Cup Semi-Final at Hampden Park back in November, 2023.
