Ippei Mizuhara reportedly wired Shohei Ohtani's money to a Real Housewives of Orange County star and fans had jokes
As the investigation into Shohei Ohtani’s former interpreter nears a close, with Ippei Mizuhara agreeing to plead guilty to federal charges Wednesday, more details are coming out about the illegal bookmaking operation he owed money to. And things just keep getting juicier.
Last week, we learned about the process through which Mizuhara reportedly attempted to pay off his debts, wiring the money he stole from Ohtani to an associate of California bookmaker Matthew Boyer, who then deposited the money into gambling accounts at casinos in California and Las Vegas.
On Wednesday, ESPN reported the identity of that associate as being Ryan Boyajian, a cast member on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Now, look, I don’t watch any of the Bravo reality TV series, so I’m not familiar with Boyajian. But plenty people do watch, and news of his involvement led to so many jokes on social media.
