‘Amazing’ man shares £1 hack to make your home smell like ‘a rich person’s house’ with no candles or cooking
A DIY whizz has shared a simple trick for making your home smell great, with no candles or cooking involved.
Luan shared his cheap hack via a video posted to his TikTok channel, which he often uses to share DIY tips.
“Thanks to this trick, my house smells like a rich man’s house”, he said.
Demonstrating his method, Luan took a lime and sliced it into four quarters.
He then put the lemon slices into a small bowl, and added a tablespoon of coarse salt.
Next, Luan added three tablespoons of rubbing alcohol to the bowl.
He said: “If you like the smell of citrus, put this bowl in the bathroom or in the living room”.
To add to the scent, Luan said that you can put a cap full of concentrated fabric softener into the mixture.
Or, if you want to keep things natural, you can instead opt for pouring a handful of cloves on top of the limes.
Luan said: “This will also help to scare away insects, as they don’t like the smell of cloves.”
The DIY whizz said he likes to put the bowls all over the house.
“Be prepared, as visitors will ask you how your house smells so good”, he said.
Luan’s hack is super cheap, and all of the ingredients combined should come to less than £1.
