A GEORGIA landscaper has shared the secret sauce that will mean less mowing this spring and summer.

But if you want to put in that extra effort, he’s got your back — and green thumb — too.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, he revealed his best low-key, low-maintenance lawn care tip — and what to do if you’re feeling a bit extra.

“If you would like to be a little bit more laid-back with your lawn care, you can buy a granular product called Slow Mow,” he said.

“It will slow down grass growth for less mowing.”

BioAdvanced’s Slow Mow Lawn Conditioner promises to slow the growth of your lawn so you’ll need to mow less often.

On the other hand, if you’re looking to go above and beyond for a fabulous lawn, Janeway has you covered, too.

“Something over-the-top that you can do is to use pure Epsom salt, that is magnesium phosphate, and spread that throughout your lawn and around your shrubs,” he advised.

He said that will “ensure that they stay as green as possible”

Janeway previously shared several other lawn care tips, tricks, and trade secrets.

He admitted that he was amazed that homeowners miss an important chore when it comes to their lawns.

“I’m surprised that people do not know that you should fertilize your lawn twice a year,” he said.

“You fertilize your crops so that they are bigger and more productive, you should do the same with your lawn.”

If you still have bald spots even after your fertilizing, he said to use seed and straw.

If that’s not showing fast enough results for you, there’s a quick fix that works in a pinch.

“[If] you need immediate results … you should cut a square patch and lay down some sod,” he said.

Then make sure you’re watering your lawn as much as it needs.

“Be sure to water your lawn two times a day, three days a week, at dawn and at dusk,” he said.

As for tools to keep on hand, he has a favorite.

“If I had to choose one I would say you should buy a ‘blade lock,'” he said.

“It is a peculiar tool, but when it comes time to change the blades on your lawnmower, you will be thankful you have it!

“It locks the blades in place so that you can get them off. It is not that expensive, but worth every penny!”
