Testy Stormy Daniels cross-exam to resume at Trump hush money trial: Live updates 

The cross-examination of the woman at the center of former President Trump’s hush money trial is set to resume on Thursday, with an expectation of continued testy exchanges between her and the defense team.

Stormy Daniels spent hours on the stand Tuesday recounting vivid and sometimes lewd details about an alleged sexual encounter she says she had with Trump, which he denies, nearly two decades ago.

At the center of the case is a payment made to Daniels that prosecutors say Trump inappropriately hid in order to keep the story of the encounter quiet ahead of the 2016 election.

Trump’s attorney will resume their questioning of Daniels when the trial resumes around 9:30 a.m.
