Punjab, Haryana schools to remain closed on May 10 on occasion of Parshuram Jayanti

Haryana schools will remain closed on May 10 on occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram. The holiday, originally for government schools, now extends to both public and private institutions across the state. In Punjab, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will also remain closed. Parshuram Jayanti is considered auspicious for initiating new ventures or business endeavors in Hinduism, as it falls on the third day of'shukla paksha'.
