TOPEKA (KSNT) - A new company, promising more than 180 jobs, could soon be coming to Topeka. Talks of a secret project came from Wednesday night's Joint Economic Development Organization (JEDO) meeting.

More than $1 million could be going to this project as part of the incentive process. The company has not yet been named, instead they're calling it Project Queen Bee.

Project Queen Bee is referencing a manufacturing company. The capital investment is about $47 million and the company is expecting more than 1,000% return-on-investment. The company is also expected to bring in 182 new jobs over the next five years.

According to a representative with Go Topeka, this project would have a total economic impact of more than one-billion dollars.

"We're just really excited to see growth in the community," Go Topeka Director of Business Development Ashley Lehman said. "We love when we can have a local company that's growing and expanding, and things are going well, and we just want to be supportive of that growth and do what we can to be a resource for them."

As for the next steps, Go Topeka is drafting an agreement to contract with the company and will bring it back to JEDO. After that, they'll finally reveal the project and the name of the company.
