Woman allegedly left 3-year-old home alone, went gambling

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Batavia woman has been arrested in connection to a 3-year-old boy who was found alone near his residence, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday, 28-year-old Megan J. Courtney was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child.

Officials say Courtney allegedly left a three-year-old at a W. Main Street Road residence without supervision. It is alleged that the child was found running outside by himself.

She was later found gambling at Batavia Downs, according to the sheriff's office.

Courtney was held at the Genesee County Jail awaiting CAP court.
