Local fire department hosts Memorial Day shirt drive

COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Cohoes Fire Department is having a shirt drive for the month of May in honor of Memorial Day. Shirts that say "Remember the fallen" can be purchased until the end of the month and the proceeds go to the New York State Gold Star Mothers.

The money from shirt sales are going to be presented to the New York State Gold Star Mothers' President Cindy Roberts when the drive is finished. Orders can be placed online and should be filled in after Friday, May 31. Fire department members will wear the shirts throughout the month along with matching hats.
