National Conference Kargil unit resigns over support to Congress

The Kargil chapter of the National Conference has defected from the party and opposition INDIA bloc. Led by Qamar Ali Akhoon, its members have collectively resigned, backing their colleague Haji Haneefa, now an independent candidate for the Lok Sabha elections.
