Doja Cat Soars In Clear Platform Heels at Monse Maison Pre-Met Cocktail Party
Doja Cat stepped out for the Monse Maison Pre-Met Cocktail Celebration in New York City on Sunday night, wearing platform heels.
The “Need To Know” singer arrived at Le Mercerie alongside fashion designer Guram Gvasalia for the intimate event hosted by the NYC-based luxury label. Other stars were in attendance like Pamela Anderson, Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos.
This weekend, Doja Cat was seen shopping in New York City wearing a pair of black Louboutin pumps. Last week, she starred on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” wearing clear mules. She wore another pair of backless heels during her last red carpet appearance at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards last month. This set from this event was uniquely designed with a satin upper that resembled a ballet slipper.
About The Shoes
Styled by Brett Alan Nelson, the singer attended the event wearing a pair of platform heels. The clear mule featured a white footbed and a thick strap along the almond toe. Along with the translucent base, the set brought height to the look with a thick stiletto heel that was about six inches tall. Many designers have similar styles on the retail market like Amina Muaddi’s Dalida Glass Plateau Slipper, which retails for $1535.
Recently, platform heels have been favored among stars including Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz and Storm Reid, who was seen wearing an Andrea Wazen pair to the 2024 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards last month.
About Platform Heels
While platform heels have been around for a very long time, the style has become more popular over the past decade. The set features an elevated sole which forces the heel to bring at least 4 inches of height to any look. The platform sole helps add support and comfortability to a pair without sacrificing the height.
