Mass. Ave. closed, water service interrupted in North Adams

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (NEWS10) -- North Adams City Hall announced that effective immediately, a detour is in place for Massachusetts Avenue at Protection Avenue and Ashton Avenue until further notice. The city is repairing a water main on Massachusetts Avenue at Wood Street.

Water services will be periodically interrupted from Tuesday to Thursday afternoon with Edgewood and Wood Street residents being the most impacted. The city asks residents to plan accordingly and if experiencing discolored water, run the water until clear.
