Crews working structure fire in central Topeka

Update 8:55 a.m.: A Topeka Fire Department battalion chief told a KSNT News reporter when crews arrived they had to fight a fire on the side of the house. Firefighters searched the house and found nobody inside. The fire is currently under investigation.

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Firefighters are working the scene of a structure fire in central Topeka Monday morning.

Around 7:40 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 1300 block of Southeast Mulvane for reports of a structure fire. The Topeka Fire Department and American Medical Response are on the scene.
