Another keep/release list
Loanees not included. Notwithstanding release clauses.
Ruddy - release. Replace with a young footballing keeper.
Etheridge - release.
Laird - keep. Talented. Young. Good attitude
Buchanan - keep. POTS contender. Feel like will knuckle down if told he’s staying.
Marc Roberts - release. L1 his level but as a totemic member of the “bad old days” best for both sides to draw a line and move on.
Sanderson - sell. Tricky. But things like drink driving matter and speak to character.
Longelo - keep. Decent option off the bench in L1 and might improve.
Josh Williams - keep. Decent for squad depth
Beilik - keep. Part of the group that got us into this mess and ought to help get us. Leave in reserves with the door open to a return as an example to others if he refuses to play.
Bacuna - sell. Will take the piss in L1 but I don’t see him as part of a bounce-back championship squad.
Miyoshi - keep. Good enough for champ when we bounce back. Have a feeling he will do the right thing in terms of attitude.
Paik - keep. Like Miyoshi, has a place in a 3-5 year plan. Hope he’s willing to earn back some self respect
Keshi Anderson - keep. Physical and direct with a decent dose of Pashun that will be important in L1
Alfie Chang - keep. Very interested to see how he does if he can stay injury free.
Dembele - keep. Will rip L1 apart and can be important when we are back in the champ. Let him sit in reserves if he sits on his hands.
JJ - keep. Build the team around him. He could become central to us as a prem team in 3-4 years
Gary Gardner - release. Like Roberts, a totemic part of the old guard who won’t be part of our championship return.
Alex Pritchard - release. Hasn’t worked out. Not worth a squad place next season.
Sunjic - keep. Love tha bastard. Loves blues so much he cried when he scored. In L1, everything good about him will be extra valuable and his weaknesses won’t feel so pronounced
George Hall - keep. Like JJ, he can grow from a season in L1 to be a core part of a prem team if he continues to develop
Scott Hogan - release. No comment needed.
Juke - release. With a heavy heart, it’s time for the big man to move on.
Tyler Roberts - keep. He’ll be class unlocking L1 defences and owes us after his injury as much as he owes himself the opportunity to win back some self-respect by taking us back to the Champ
