I’ve always dreamed of having a ridiculous number of tulips in my yard – people say my DIY transformation is ‘stunning’
ONE homeowner has found a way to take their yard from boring to blossoming.
They put their green thumb to the test and transformed their outdoor space with as many tulips as they could handle.
The outdoor space had undergone a multi-colored tulip makeover[/caption]“I’ve always dreamed of having a ridiculous number of tulips in my yard. Mission accomplished!” said one Redditor who has since-deleted their account.
Their previously barren front yard had certainly undergone a floral upgrade that had people floored.
What started as a yard with nothing but dirt was now full of flowers.
Dozens of multi-colored tulips could be credited with the home’s newfound curb appeal.
The orange, pink, white, and purple varieties outlined the front of the yard in a curving pattern – and that wasn’t all.
They also had box planters and flower beds with even more tulips growing as well as other small plants.
On the other side of a walkway were yet additional tulips.
People were so impressed with the tulip transformation that they wondered if it was a professional job.
“Are you a designer or did you hire this out?” asked one Reddit user.
“The palette is beautiful and I love the way you distributed the colors. Seriously incredible. I would love to see more photos of your garden throughout the season,” they continued.
“Thank you! Not a designer and we did it ourselves. I’ve been working on the plan in my mind for years – at least ten. It’s a literal dream come true,” they replied.
Others also couldn’t stop raving about the DIY outdoor oasis.
“Absolutely stunning! Great job,” wrote one user.
“It’s just so darn pleasing to look at. Congratulations on your dream come true! It’s award-worthy and belongs in magazines!” another Redditor agreed.
“Really nice! Looks like all your hard work has paid off,” a third user chimed in.

Others had questions of their own.
“Those box planters are sweet! Are they pre-made or did you buy them somewhere? I love how they look!” said one Redditor.
“They’re just recycled boards from another project. We made the biggest boxes we could out of the pieces we had. Then painted black and laid on the ground,” they responded.
“How many bulbs roughly? Stunning colors!” wrote another user.
“One thousand,” they answered.
According to the gardening professionals at Miracle-Gro, tulips are quite easy to grow.
People were stunned at the tulip transformation[/caption]They recommend planting the flowers in a sunny area with “excellent drainage.”
They also suggest planting bulbs in the fall for them to bloom by the spring.
Another trick is using their Miracle-Gro Garden Soil for Flowers which sells at Walmart for $28.49.
The soil is described as being able to grow plants “twice as big” and offering moisture control to help prevent issues resulting from over or under-watering.
