Atmospheric river bringing heavy rain to Pacific Northwest and new snow to parts of the Rockies
The Pacific Northwest is seeing steady heavy rainfall as an unusually strong storm system called an atmospheric river passes through the region. KOMO-TV reports that fire crews rescued two people trapped by floodwaters at a campsite in the Gold Bar area of Snohomish County on Monday night. Officials say crews used drones and water rescue crafts to reach them and get them to safety.
