"There are a number of hostages that have lost their lives", noted Mark Owen, FRANCE 24's correspondent in Jerusalem. Other hostages "are coming though alive and well", he added. The Israeli government revealed in a news conference various aspects of psychological torture that some of the hostages have undergone, which "clearly points to an issue of a war crime being committed".
