19 pc of candidates in Delhi polls fray declared criminal cases: ADR

Nineteen per cent of candidates in the 2023 Delhi assembly election have declared criminal cases, a slight decrease from the 2020 election. Twelve per cent face serious charges. Party-wise, AAP has the highest proportion of candidates with criminal records at 63%, followed by Congress at 41%, and BJP at 29%. The issue of criminality among candidates remains significant.

RBI supersedes board of Aviom India Housing Finance on governance concerns

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken control of Aviom India Housing Finance due to concerns over governance and payment defaults. The RBI will initiate the resolution process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. Ram Kumar, former chief general manager of Punjab National Bank, has been appointed as the administrator.
