Chris Anderson, TED’s head, has written an open letter to Elon Musk, raising concerns about the Tesla CEO's recent posts on X (formerly Twitter). Anderson accused Musk of disregarding essential journalistic principles like the fairness doctrine, warning that such behaviour could endanger lives and harm Musk’s reputation. While recognising Musk’s significant influence and achievements, Anderson criticised his approach as “playground bullying” and urged him to adopt a more responsible tone to improve the platform’s credibility and global impact.
