Share Market Highlights January 3, 2025: Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty buckled under selling pressure to settle nearly 1 per cent lower on Friday as investors pared exposure to bank and IT stocks ahead of the earnings season starting next week. At 11:48 am, Sensex was at 79,664.29, down 279.42 points or 0.35 per cent lower. Nifty was at 24,111.75, down 76.90 points or 0.32 per cent lower.
