Finns embrace internationalisation but value national identity

A majority of Finns support internationalisation in many aspects of life, but maintaining national identity remains important. According to a survey conducted by E2 Research, nearly 90% of respondents believe that preserving national identity and a sense of unity is crucial as Finland becomes more international. The study, which surveyed over 1,000 Finns in the summer of 2024, reveals that over half of the population welcomes international influences in schools, workplaces, and cultural life.
