National budget 'number one priority' for France's new PM

The number one priority for France's incoming PM will be getting a 2025 budget approved by a majority in the deeply divided National Assembly. "Anyone who comes in as prime minister under President Macrton will have a very difficult balancing act of basically trying to keep their government afloat because they will be trying to get agreement from the left and the right of French politics," FRANCE 24 senior reporter Catherine Norris Trent said from outside the Élysée Palace in Paris.
