Flood survivors pelt Spain's royals with mud and premier is evacuated during a visit

A crowd of angry survivors of Spain’s floods have tossed mud and shouted insults at Spain’s King Felipe VI and government officials as they visited one of the hardest hit towns. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez was evacuated from the scene, according to Spanish broadcaster RTVE, when the official contingent started to walk the mud-covered streets of Paiporta, where over 60 people perished. Police had to step in, with some officers on horseback, to keep back the crowd of several dozens who hurled mud and wielded shovels and poles.

Man fatally shot in Ashburn

A man was shot to death in Ashburn Sunday, police said.

The man, 21, was found by a witness in the 2800 block of West 83rd Street around 12:40 a.m., according to Chicago police. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and was pronounced dead on the scene.

No one is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
