There is some optimism that the Golden State Warriors could sign Moses Moody to an extension before the Monday, October 21st deadline, especially in comparison to how their talks are progressing with Jonathan Kuminga. “I’m told there is a window for him to get a deal done,” said Shams Charania on NBA Today. “That is a much more likely deal in Golden State. Shams: Jonathan Kuminga, Warriors 'still far apart' in extension talks

“I’m told both sides are still far apart in extension conversations between now and Monday,” said Shams Charania on NBA Today about the Kuminga negotiations. “I think there’s a belief that this could play out into the season and into restricted free agent. And really a guy in Jonathan Kuminga that wants to bet on himself and try to be as close to a max contract type of player out there. The Warriors need him to step up and need him to become that superstar player. They also want to see how he potentially looks this season.”

Report finds hate against South Asians in U.S. rising

A new report published by Stop AAPI Hate shows a recent rise in hate and discrimination against South Asian Americans. The nonprofit organization found that 75% of anti-Asian online threats in August were directed toward South Asians.
