Election 2024: Peace Council warns against religious sentiment in politics, vandalism of campaign materials

The National Peace Council (NPC) has raised concerns over actions and statements that could potentially disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Ghana ahead of the 2024 general elections. In a press release dated October 6, the NPC, through the National Election Response Group (NERG), called on political leaders and citizens alike to refrain from activities that could incite violence, including the defacing of campaign materials and political pronouncements that exploit religious sentiments .
