MAM Competence Center / INNOCAD

Archdaily.com

Since MAM is similar to a growing organism, its new competence center resembles one as well, with the intention of developing over the years and responding to increasing spatial needs. The building´s concept answers this complex scope of consistent growth through the principle of cellular division, by intersecting circles with green atria as "nuclei" that originate in inspiring, serpentine space patterns while being sustainable. Proceeding from the first stage of construction, which consists of three circular interlocked volumes... Читать дальше...

Hello friends. Let’s check out the latest around the league.

In Mariners news...

  • Julio Rodríguez was named the American League Player of the Week!
  • I’m fully convinced Ichiro will be able to do this when he’s 90.

A proposed production method for astatinated (At-211) Trastuzumab for use in a Phase I clinical trial

Plos.org

by Emma Aneheim, Tom Bäck, Holger Jensen, Stig Palm, Sture Lindegren

Astatine-211 is a nuclide with a short half-life of 7.2 h, that show promise for targeted alpha therapy of disseminated cancer. Despite nuclide production being straight-forward using a medium energy cyclotron and an uncomplicated target, not many cyclotrons are currently producing the nuclide. In this work we propose a stream-lined method to produce astatine labelled antibodies that enable production of clinical doses at other sites... Читать дальше...

Low peaking-phenomenon cascade high-gain observer design with LPV/LMI method

Plos.org

by Qi Li, Lu Duan, Guangyu Cao, Fanwei Meng

To cope with the well-known peaking phenomenon and noise sensitivity in the application of the High-Gain observer, a parameter tuning method based on the LPV/LMI approach for a 2nd-order cascade observer structure is proposed in this paper. Compared to other high-gain observer methods, this method can significantly reduce the infimum of gain in the observer, thereby reducing the peak phenomenon of state estimation and the influence of measurement output noise. Ambiguous landscapes: A framework for assessing robustness and uncertainties in archaeological point pattern analysis

Plos.org

by Eduardo Herrera Malatesta, Sébastien de Valeriola

Landscape research in archaeology has greatly benefited from the increasing application of computational methods over the last decades. Spatial statistical methods such as point pattern analysis have been particularly revolutionary. Archaeologists have used point pattern analysis to explore spatial arrangements and relations between ‘points’ (e.g., locations of artefacts or archaeological sites). However, the results obtained from these... Читать дальше...

Output speed control for hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission of tractor

Plos.org

by Zhiqiang Xi, Ziying Luo, Fuyi Cao, Lianbo Niu, Liyou Xu

In order to improve the speed stability of tractors equipped with hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission (HMCVT) during field operations, the speed regulation characteristics, torque characteristics, and power diversion characteristics of HMCVT are analyzed. And a comprehensive control strategy for HMCVT output speed is proposed by analyzing the factors affecting the fluctuation of output speed, which combines engine... Читать дальше...
