Calgary's water main is back online. What's it going to cost?

The City of Calgary officially ended outdoor water restrictions on Sept. 22 after successful repairs were made to the Bearspaw south feeder main, which first ruptured in June before being shut down again for more work in late August. Early estimates put the cost of repairs at about $40 million dollars total, which could mean an increase in water rates to pay for the projects.
