Boeing’s CEO says the company will begin laying off a large number of employees to save cash during the strike by union machinists. Chief executive Kelly Ortberg said Wednesday that the layoffs would affect executives, managers and other employees. A turnout of about 59 percent -- the highest in the past seven elections -- was recorded in the first phase of assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, Chief Electoral Officer P K Pole said, adding polling passed off peacefully.
