Hezbollah vows revenge after exploding pagers injure thousands

New details are emerging on what Hezbollah says was an Israeli covert operation to turn its members’ pagers into bombs. The Iranian-back militant group says large numbers of pagers detonated simultaneously across Lebanon Tuesday, wounding nearly 3,000 people including the Iranian ambassador, according to Lebanese authorities. Reliance Infra pares debt to Rs 475 crore after settlement with ARCs, LIC

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, controlled by Anil Ambani, has significantly reduced its debt from Rs 3831 crore to Rs 475 crore after settling dues with multiple creditors. The company cleared outstanding amounts with Invent Assets Securitisation and Reconstruction, LIC, Edelweiss Asset Reconstruction Company Limited, ICICI Bank, Union Bank, and other lenders.

Aurobindo to acquire remaining 49% stake in GLS Pharma for Rs 22.5 crore

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd on Wednesday said it will acquire the balance 49 per cent stake in GLS Pharma Ltd for Rs 22.5 crore to make the latter a wholly-owned subsidiary. The company has entered into a binding agreement on September 18, 2024, with GLS Pharma Ltd and its promoters for acquisition of remaining 5,90,361 equity shares of Rs 10 each amounting to 49 per cent stake for a purchase consideration of Rs 22.5 crore.
