Govt launches PM E-Drive scheme to replace FAME, no subsidies for electric or hybrid Cars

The Union Cabinet has approved the PM Electric Drive Revolution In Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) scheme, allocating Rs 10,900 crore to promote electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and buses. The scheme will also support hybrid ambulances and electric trucks, replacing the FAME programme that ended in March.
