Minister: Cultural workers' minimum salary will not rise next year

On Wednesday, representatives of the Estonian Employees' Unions' Confederation (TALO) and the Estonian Ministry of Culture met to discuss a possible rise in the national minimum wage for cultural workers in 2025. Estonian Minister of Culture Heidy Purga (Reform) told ERR after the meeting that the minimum wage for cultural workers will not increase next year.

Industry body Business Unity South Africa (Busa) on Thursday expressed disappointment that despite commitments by the government to engage on the National Health Insurance (NHI) Act, structured discussions have not yet taken place, affirming its readiness to participate in meaningful dialogue with government. Busa CEO Cas Coovadia said the organisation was aiming for formal, constructive engagement with the President, Minister of Health and National Treasury, that was focused on collaboration, for an equitable and sustainable healthcare system.
