State-owned Transnet Group chief business development officer Yolisa Kani has said calls for applications for private train operators wanting to access the freight rail network are likely to open before the end of this year. The criminal trial of Singapore's former Indian-origin transport minister S Iswaran has been rescheduled from September 10 to September 24.
