Jakson Group arm Jakson Engineers on Wednesday said it is planning to invest about Rs 2,000 crore for expansion of its solar manufacturing business. India's Rs 1.4 trilion defence order adds more firepower for PSUs

The Defence Acquisition Council, led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has approved 10 capital acquisition proposals worth Rs 1.45 trillion to boost domestic defence manufacturing and enhance the Indian Armed Forces' operational capabilities. This move will significantly benefit public sector undertakings in the defence sector, with a focus on indigenous procurement. The Indian Army's tank fleet will receive Future Ready Combat Vehicles, and Air Defence Fire Control Radars will also be procured.
