Andhra receives power boats for flood relief operations in Vijayawada

The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday received power boats which it asked from the Centre to carry out flood relief operations in Vijayawada, especially at a time when it was running short of them. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to dispatch power boats and additional NDRF teams to cope with the demanding flood emergency. Nomura lowers its FY25 GDP forecast for India to 6.7%

Nomura has revised India's FY25 economic growth forecast to 6.7%, down from 6.9%, after April-June quarter GDP data showed slower-than-expected growth. The GDP grew at 6.7%, below the Reuters poll forecast of 6.9%, attributed to a drop in government spending during national elections.
