Late American sociologist Dr. Du Bois’ name placed on iconic Sankofa Wall in Ghana

On 26th August, 2024, the Diaspora African Forum (DAF) commemorated the late American sociologist Dr. W. E. B Du Bois by inscribing his name onto the iconic Sankofa Wall. The iconic Sankofa Wall, a symbol of Ghana 39;s rich history and the Diaspora 39;s connection to the motherland was further adorned with the name of the legendary American figure.

82 departmental action cases pending against CBI personnel: CVC report

The Central Vigilance Commission's latest report highlights 82 pending departmental actions against CBI officials as of December 31, 2023. These include 54 cases against Group A officers and 28 against Group B and C officials, with durations ranging from less than a year to over four years. This reflects poorly on the CBI's reputation.

Govt gets Rs 2,413 cr dividend from BPCL

The government has received Rs 2,413 crore in dividends from BPCL, adding to the Rs 15,389.14 crore received this fiscal year from CPSEs, including Indian Oil Corp, ECIL, Power Finance Corp, and TCIL. With a target of Rs 56,260 crore, the government aims to increase collections from public sector enterprises compared to the previous fiscal.
