Mark Zuckerberg responds to GOP pressure, says Biden pushed to ‘censor’ covid posts

In a letter to the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee on Monday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the Biden administration “repeatedly pressured” his teams to “censor” content related to covid in 2021. UN aviation watchdog auditing India’s security readiness

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has commenced a nine-day audit of India's aviation security, focusing on the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) at Delhi and Kolkata airports. This audit, involving a dozen experts from 10 countries, will assess India’s compliance with global security standards, including regulatory frameworks and operational procedures. The ICAO's last audit in 2018 raised concerns about BCAS's autonomy, a point India has since addressed with recent legislative changes.

Govt notifies 160 tons of gold import from UAE at concessional rate

The government has notified the import of up to 160 tonnes of gold by manufacturers and traders from the UAE at a concessional rate for 2024-25 under the India-UAE free trade agreement, an official said on Tuesday. The agreement, officially dubbed as Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) came into force on May 1, 2022. Under the agreement, India agreed to import up to 200 metric tonnes of gold annually from the UAE with a one per cent tariff concession under Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ). Читать дальше...

2 workers killed at Atlanta Delta facility after reported tire explosion
