A jury has found three security guards not guilty of involuntary manslaughter in a man’s death at a Detroit-area mall more than 10 years ago. The verdict came Friday. No charges were filed by the Oakland County prosecutor in 2014. But the case was reopened by the Michigan attorney general. A federal appeals court has upheld Maryland’s handgun licensing requirements. A majority of judges from the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday rejected an argument from gun-rights activists that the state law violated the Second Amendment by making it too difficult for people to obtain guns.
