GST notices to foreign airlines may dampen India's strong aviation potential: IATA

Urging the government to resolve the matter, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said it is disappointed that the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has proceeded to issue show cause notices to some foreign airlines operating to India despite a number of representations made by the industry on this matter.

India's central bank might start a rate-cutting cycle in December, potentially reducing rates by 100 basis points by March 2026, according to Bank of America's Vikas Jain. With inflation easing and core inflation at a near-record low, a 25-basis-point cut is expected initially. Jain predicts a 10-year bond yield drop to 6.70% and advises buying on price corrections.
