ONGC has increased operations to enhance gas production in Tripura, with a target of extracting 1,675 MMSCM for 2024-25. They planned to dig 20 new wells and add one more rig. Cluster drilling using old wells was initiated to avoid land acquisition and approval delays, mitigating surge issues of surplus gas.

DHAKA, Bangladesh — Anti-government protesters across Bangladesh planned to march to the capital, Dhaka, on Monday after a weekend of violence that left dozens of people dead, as the military imposed a curfew for an indefinite period and authorities cut off mobile internet in an attempt to stem the unrest. At least 95 people, including at least 14 police officers, died in clashes in the capital on Sunday, according to the country's leading Bengali-language daily newspaper, Prothom Alo.
