Hi there, yesterday my SuperSpars boom broke during a sailing session. It snapped after about 15 minutes on a half-wind course, just after the point where the vang is connected to the boom. It is a relatively new aluminium boom (not the old round booms but a rectangular one, something like 10 years old), and I have sailed in much heavier winds before, so I am not sure how/why this happened.
