MGL increases CNG and PNG prices in Mumbai

Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), the city gas distribution company based in Mumbai, has announced price hikes for compressed natural gas (CNG) and domestic piped natural gas (PNG). Effective from midnight on July 08, 2024, the new prices will be Rs 75 per Kg for CNG and Rs 48 per standard cubic meter (SCM) for PNG.

Supreme Court Orders Centre To Frame Menstrual Leave Policy for Women Employees

The Supreme Court on Monday instructed the Centre to develop a model policy on menstrual leave for women employees by consulting with states and other stakeholders. A bench including Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra stated that the matter was a policy issue, not one for the courts to decide. Additionally, the bench noted that a court-mandated decision on this issue could be counterproductive and harmful, as employers might avoid hiring women.
