Foreign investment in China falls for past year as economy struggles
Austin, Texas — Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in China fell for the 12th consecutive month in May, according to data released by China’s Ministry of Commerce. The ministry in a June 21 press release said in the first five months of this year, China’s economy attracted $56.8 billion (RMB 412.51 billion) in FDI, a year-on-year decrease of 28.2%.
