A non-governmental organisation, Connected Hands for Family Health and Empowerment Initiative, has organised a four-day training session or 60 adolescent girls in Sokoto State on menstrual hygiene. The girls who were drawn from Sokoto South and Sokoto North Local Government Areas of the state were also trained on reproductive health, financial literacy, and communication skills.
